Also known as affenbrot.

It's not hard to make, but cleaning the bundt pan afterwards is a hassle.

Ingredients

  • 3 cans biscuits (cheap)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter (1 stick)
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Cheap canned biscuits seem to work better, no idea why.

Real butter only; margerine and similar don't taste at all good in this.

Preparation

  1. Grease a bundt pan.
  2. Pour the chopped nuts into the pan and spread evenly.
  3. Cut the biscuits into quarters.
  4. Mix the cinnamon and sugar.

Directions

  1. Coat the biscuits with the cinnamon/sugar mix.
    1. Method one is to individually roll each quarter in a bowl with the mix.
    2. My method is to put the mix in a bag, dump in the biscuits, and shake the hell out of it. Fun, too.
  2. Melt butter in small pan and add the brown sugar and pour over sugared biscuits.
  3. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
  4. Dump the confection out immediately, else you'll never get it out.

Temperature will vary; here, 325 for 35 minutes seems to work better.
