Affenbrot

Also known as affenbrot.
It's not hard to make, but cleaning the bundt pan afterwards is a hassle.
Ingredients
- 3 cans biscuits (cheap)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter (1 stick)
- 1 cup brown sugar
Cheap canned biscuits seem to work better, no idea why.
Real butter only; margerine and similar don't taste at all good in this.
Preparation
- Grease a bundt pan.
- Pour the chopped nuts into the pan and spread evenly.
- Cut the biscuits into quarters.
- Mix the cinnamon and sugar.
Directions
- Coat the biscuits with the cinnamon/sugar mix.
- Method one is to individually roll each quarter in a bowl with the mix.
- My method is to put the mix in a bag, dump in the biscuits, and shake the hell out of it. Fun, too.
- Melt butter in small pan and add the brown sugar and pour over sugared biscuits.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Dump the confection out immediately, else you'll never get it out.
Temperature will vary; here, 325 for 35 minutes seems to work better.
