Hummus

Serve with warm pita or naan.

Ingredients

  • one 12 oz. can chick peas (garbanzo beans), rinsed and drained
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp coriander (optional)
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, peeled (or to taste)
  • 1/4 c. tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 1/4 c. olive oil, more as necessary
  • salt to taste
  • pinch paprika

Other ingredients may be added as desired. I also like to throw in sundried tomatoes or roasted peppers from time to time.


Directions

Add all ingredients to food processor and process until smooth. Top with a pinch or paprika and a dash of olive oil.
