Steak Sandwich

Quick, simple, steak sandwich. Quality of ingredients matters more than how you make it.
Ingredients
- One large rump steak
- Ciabatta bread to cover steak
- Maille Dijon mustard
- ripe tomato
Obviously steak quality matters here as does your skill with the grill.
Directions
- Slice ciabatta horizontally.
- Paint cut surface with olive oil, gently toast both sides.
- Slice tomato thinly
- Cook steak as you like it, but if you don't see some blood when you cut it then you cooked it too long!
- Place steak on bread
- Spread with plenty of Dijon mustard
- Spread sliced tomato over - close sandwich with top of bread
Variations
- Caramelized onions instead of tomato
- Horseradish, if you can get the real stuff
- Rocket or other greens
